I use a 3rd party tempalte called vmj_colour_plus from virtuemart junction, and it is not quite right.
The image that I can see for the product does not zoom, nad clicking on the other images opens then in a new window.

i am seeing that you successfully made the custom changes. But you forgot to install and publish the "Flexible - Zoom Effect" module. Please install, and publish it to any position you would like as nothing will be appear in the front-end, but that module loads the necessary CSS and JS file for running the zooming effect.

Make sure that module position you set for the "Flexible - Zoom Effect" module is exist in your joomla template. Usually there are lots of module positions but not all of them are defined in the joomla templates. Use one of "footer, banner, header, left or right" module positions as they are most likely exist for sure.

I am still seeing the Flexible Zoom Effect module hasn't been published in the website.
Change its position to anything else that you are sure it is exist in your joomla Template. Just pick a position that you ARE SURE it exists and defined. Try: LEFT or RIGHT positions.
