Hi, we are using this software on our website.
I notice that when we upload images and the software resizes to create thumbnails that the images that the software resizes do not maintain the aspect ratio, so they look squashed or stretched.

Is it possible to preserve the aspect ratio.
For an example please see

Note the image of the first headboard. The diamond patterns in the upholstery is stretched wider and looks wrong.
If you click into the product the image again is wrong. If you then hover over the image and inspect it you will see the button upholstery is the correct pattern and the image is fine.

How can we maintain the aspect ratio so the images do not distort?

Normally, we don't provide free support if the problem is not caused by our extensions. FYI: our Zoom Effect has absolutely no effect in category browse page.

But your case is relatively easy to resolve. So here is what you need to do.

That scratching is caused by defining fixed sizes for product pictures (through CSS). Defining fixed sizing through CSS is so dangerous and eventually you will end up with screeched pictures, like you are having.




To eliminate the effect of that CSS rule (no need to remove it)

Open this CSS file:
www.decur.co.uk/templates/catalogue/css/layout.css

Scroll to the bottom and include this rule:
everything will look much better.
