TOPIC: Separate main image from additional images

Separate main image from additional images 10 years 1 month ago #9051

I am creating my own virtuemart product template and have included your zoom effect plugin which is working fine.

Ideally I'd like to have the main image in the top left, and then the additional images further down across the the full width of the product display.

I was wondering if there was any easy way to split it up. I looked into the plugin template plugins/system/flexibleZoomEffect/media/html/default_images.php and saw these two sections are divided into two divs:
<div class="flexible-main-image">
...
</div

and
<div id="flexible-zoom-additionalImagesWrap" class="flexible-zoom-additionalImagesWrap">
....
</div>

My plan was to copy this code from the plugin straight into my product template and then position these two divs separately but that did not work. (My simplistic thinking)

Is there a way for me to do this easily - any tips appreciated. Thanks.

It should work. Those DIV's can be separated and can be positioned anywhere in the /productdetails/default.php file

But, probably you made a PHP coding mistakes. There are lots of if...end conditions. Make sure you are not destroying the if..end conditions.

Did you get a PHP error after you attempted to take them apart?

Separate the "additional images" slider (from the main-image), by starting from this line:
<?php // Showing The Additional Images

Which won't destroy the PHP,
also don't forget to include those 2 lines to /productdetails/default.php
$plugin=JPluginHelper::getPlugin('system','flexibleZoomEffect');
$params=new JParameter($plugin->params);

which are necessary to get the parameters from Flexible Zoom Effect plugin.

yes, thanks it works.

I forgot to add:
$plugin=JPluginHelper::getPlugin('system','flexibleZoomEffect');
$params=new JParameter($plugin->params);

Thanks a lot!
