Hi, just installed my VM Zoom Effect module but sadly it doesnt seem to be working.

I have been through your tutorial and find the /com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php file in the Coinandstampplace2 template we are using for the site. This is a custom template but has no altered php or scripts - its just a css/html template.
We are running the latest version of VM 2.0.26D

I have attached the default.php file. I do see on Line 401

echo $this->loadTemplate('images');

?>
- which is what /I think should be there but my php is not up to much.
I am happy to provide site login details if required.

Hi,

You would need a simple coding modification since you are using a 3rd party component.
I wish you didn't waste your time and contact us directly.

By the way you meant: ROOT/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php, right?
not ROOT/components/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php

You need to do this as well:

Find the ZIP file that you downloaded from our server. Inside that ZIP file, you will find this PHP file: default_images.php
which is actually located here:
UNZIPFIRST_mod_vm_flexible_zoom_effect.zip >> For Virtuemart 2.0.x >> default_images.php

and upload/overwrite it to here in your server:
ROOT/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default_images.php

(probably you already have this file in there, so overwrite with the existing one. Or rename the old one as: default_images2.php)

Then everything should be working just fine.

It is a relatively easy modification but If you don't want to waste any more time on this, which is totally understandable. OR you did it but still the zoom won't work, then please provide me your Joomla (super) administrator account to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and i will make everything ready for you.

Thank you. The Zoom module is working now and is very effective. All that was needed was the default_images.php file.
Your direct contact details are probably obvious but despite a search the only method of contact I could find was this Board.
Anyway, all good and thanks for your support.

Through our experience, we have figured out that using Forum for support is the most efficient way, because;
  • Our potential customers can see this forum (forum is open to public) before buying anything from us and see how efficient/fast we are in terms of "helping".
  • It is easy to miss some emails in the email platform (both for you and us), but never in forum platform. Everything is organized here.
  • Sometimes (actually most of the time) people are asking the same questions or reporting the some problem/bugs that have been answered/resolved previously, so we are simply providing the link to the related topic to have him/her to apply the same patch.

Anyways, I am closing this topic and marking it as "solved".
