I installed MaterialMart for Virtuemart 3, following the directions you have given. But I am dealing with some issues:

1) I am using the "Custom Fields For All" extension for the Custom Fields. No matter what fields I create, they are showing in the Product Details as Radio Buttons. When I disable MaterialMart on my website, then colors and the rest of the Custom Fields are showing properly. I am suspecting that there is something wrong on the Line 14 of "flexible.css" file ( emplates/g5_hydrogen/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexible.css )

2) As a template I am using the Hydrogen of Gantry5 framework. In the Gantry5 framework there is a file named "bootstrap-gantry.css" (media/gantry5/assets/css/bootstrap-gantry.css )
In order for the buttons to show properly, I must disable that file.

3) On the Cart Page this field is showing twice: "Baseprice with Tax, but without discounts"
I would like it to show once and in the second place to show the "Tax amount" but neither in "Grid View" now in "Multi Grid View"

Are you working on a live server? What is your website URL?

Can you please let me see your website and check the Dev Console, so i can provide you a solution to avoid that CSS override issue between bootstrap-gantry.css and flexible.css ?

About your 1st problem, this sounds like bigger than a simple CSS issue, a JavaScript patch might be necessary. Once you provide me your website URL and let me check what is going on, i can better assist you about it.


FYI: Please provide me a full product page url where the 1st problem occurs, so i won't have to find that product by clicking one-by one to all your products.

To fix the button's background problems. Download the attached file, unzip it (flexible.css)



and replace it with this one on your server:
ifadi.ows.gr/templates/g5_hydrogen/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexible.css

all those button background problems will be gone.

About the last problem. You MUST NOT use HTML tag in the "Short Description" field. Because that "short description" field is used to generate the "Description" META TAG on product page to increase the SEO. short description field MUST to be plain string. FYI: This has absolutely nothing to do with our template. It is related to Virtuemart Core.

- This problem is fixed. I edited this PHP file: /templates/g5_hydrogen/html/com_virtuemart/cart/default_pricelist.php

There is no easy way to do it. It requires custom coding changes. It is a custom modifications (because you want to change how the things work/look) and unfortunately we don't provide free support or step-by-step instructions for custom coding modifications.

Problem - Double dropdown on product details page
- This problem is fixed once I disable the "Use jQuery chosen for dropdowns in FE" option via the Virtuemart Backend >> Configuration >> Template (keep it disabled all the time)

I have another question.
Do you have any idea why the number of products does not appear next to the categories like demo?
I know it's not a MaterialMart problem. I've been searching but I can not find a solution.
I think it's some adjustment I have not done.

Of course it is possible, but as i mentioned before, there would be performance flaws because of all those additional SQL queries (especially for stores that have too many categories like yours).

Think about it. To count the parent category, you have to send SQL request to all sub-categories to count their products first and then sum the results. All those innerJoins and extra queries, they cost too much. If there is 3rd or even 4th child categories, then this will go insane (sql queries will grow exponentially). By default, Virtuemart doesn't count categories and there is a reason about it ;). We have implemented this feature with MaterialMart, but we did it in a simple way -- for a reason.

If you insist on getting this feature beside its disadvantages (actually joomla caching would minimized its side-effects though); You can consider getting our "Premium Support Service". Since this is a 100% custom modification (because you want to change how the things work/look within our templates) and unfortunately we don't provide free support or step-by-step instructions for custom coding modifications.
