I purchased this module, easy to set and very nice style but I have find a problem with the product shown:

I have a problem with the display of items by selecting the category of departure: Shows only items in that category, and I wish that the display of items from that category begins by searching the categories also internal.

I set a specific category and tried specifying YES / NO on the flag: "Use category filter"

I hope the the next example clarify my request.

IF I need to select: category AAA with"Use category filter"=YES
then show on module only items_1; items_2; items_3; items_4; items_5; items_6


IF I need to select: category BBB3 with"Use category filter"=NO
then show on module: FROM items_36 TO items_40


IF I need to select: category BBB with"Use category filter"=NO
then show on module: FROM items_27 TO items_40


IF I need to select: category BBB2B with"Use category filter"=YES
then show on module only items_30; items_31; items_32;


Could you please prospose a solution?

If you are choosing a category from the dropdown list, then you MUST select the category filter = YES. They work together, there is no such thing like, choosing a category from the list and leaving the filtering NO. It will just give confusion to module.
And category filtering works only for 1 category (not for its child categories).

So, my suggestion for you, let's say, you want to show some specific products and they are located in different categories.
Then do one of these:

1. METHOD)
- Mark those products that you want to show inside the slider "on featured"
In the slider module parameters,
Category Filtering: NO
Display Group: Featured

So the module will show all "featured" products from all categories.

2. Method:
- In Virtuemart, create a Category. Name it as "SALE" or "FEATURED" what ever you want to name it.
Then for the products you want to add to slideshow, add that new category for those products as "additional category" (you can define multiple categories for each product)
Then in the module parameter:
Category Filtering: YES
Choose the category that you just generated.

So it will show only the products from that category. It is up to you to pick any of these methods.
But our module is specifically designed to use for "On Featured" products.

In the near future, we are planing to revise(improve) our module and then choosing multiple categories through module parameters would be possible which will solve your problem as well. But for now, this is what it is.

I understand, it is the only solution as required will only be available with the next update.
The solution of the additional categories I had already thought out, but given the multitude of categories on multiple levels already present on a database with more than 4000 items to be able to do it individually for only a few become complicated to manage.

You need the update!

It doesn't matter what you subscription status is. Since you haven't found what you are looking for from our module, you will get the updated version for sure. I just can't give you any estimate now unfortunately, because today we have released a new Joomla Virtuemart Template (DarkMArt) and it grabs all of ours attention now, bugs fixing, advertisement campaigns etc.. But I am aware that "selecting multiple category" is the most desirable feature in the both the "fancy slider" and the "carousel" extensions.
