hello, it is really essencial to me to hide the child products from the carouzel module.any help please??it is crucial because i have made products and chils nt order to use "Generic child variant" in the cart selection. But in this way the child products appear all in the carouzel module and i want only the parents.

First, open the

VM Configuration >> Shopfront

and disable this option: Show uncategorised child products in search results and modules?



Then, make sure that all the "child products" don't have any categories (because child products don't need to belong any category. Only the parent should belong to a category)



Then those child products will be hidden from the search results and from modules.

you're right, this way the children dissapear from the module.That's just fine.But the fact is that i really need them to show in product drop down list for a choise,see pic

Doing what i was saying won't remove from the drop down.

Make sure you setup the "Generic Child Variant" custom field correctly and you are not using any 3rd party custom field plugin. Because disabling this option: Show uncategorised child products in search results and modules? won't hide the child products from the Generic Child Variant custom field drop down. I am sure about it 100%. The screenshots above also prove it.

does flexible have a plugin in order to apply a custom field in products that i choose without assigning prices individually in each product?and also is there a way to apply the custom field as required?thanks a lot

I don't really understand what you are asking, but at flexiblewebdesign.com we are selling only modules and templates for Virtuemart.

We don't sell any kind of stand alone Virtuemart plugins.

If the "Custom Field" plugins that come with Virtuemart Component (built-in) are not enough for you. You may try search google.com and find some alternatives. I have heard there are some 3rd party custom field plugins.
