I have had a look at your site and just first some general comments (very pretty by the way) -
but - extremely slow here (I am in Belgium so we cant blame distance)
Has it always been this slow?

While clicking around (just on menus and product details) I have twice received 500 Server errors (this is just within a few moments) - is this new?

You are also trying to load non exisitant fonts etc (screenshot 2)

Have also tried adding to the cart and then going to checkout - all seems to work as long as nothing is clicked before the page has completely loaded..

Is there any common denominator ?

Are you clicking accidentally the "Vider mon panier" when you want "Voir mon Panier"?

They are very close together and with the slowness of the site maybe the dropdown isn't fully dropped before the click?

There is no technical reason why they don't appear - if they are in the Cart session they will be loaded into the cart - unless they are deleted..

Do you think this is a possibility?

A big thank you for your answer and your kindness, it's strange because the cart does not work all the time, then you had the chance.
For fonts I will remove it are old test I did.
Bizarre slow for my site in your in Belgium, I am sometimes shared server and the 503 error appears I do not understand at all ... (I'm OVH)

Do you think the weight of my images weigh too heavy and slow to load?

I love your module I could customized the way I wanted it but sometimes it is super bug, probably related to the loading time .......

Afraid I know OVH very well (very popular in France) but I don't think I am breaking any laws by saying I would never use them - (hint hint..)

To give you an example of how delightful a Joomla/Virtuemart site can be try this one - the speed is amazing - it has nothing to do with me apart from the fact I did a little work on it for the owner..

Surprisingly this is a South African Host using a German datacenter : (I was so impressed I did a lot of research on it and are seriously considering moving.. ) - it is a root server reseller package but not stupidly expensive (around €25 a month from memory)

But it goes to show that Joomla/VM does work best on a hefty server - OVH shared hostings just don't have the guarenteed resourses

No - your image sizes are perfectly reasonable - but on a shared server that is busy you are always going to be queued for resources (MySql, cpu, memory etc) esp with that company.. ;)

e.g. 14.48s (onload: 14.28s) to load a simple product page is just too long....

Wow, thank you again for your reply, you are to me a great help, your hoster me very interested because OVH is very slow ... I just cut a little bit my load time of my pages by combining my CSS. But I won a few fractions of a second loading.

Could you give me the name of your hosting provider you spoke?
Cart not always work, sometimes I add two items to cart and when I click on the basket, that one has been taken into account and visible in the basket.

he he - not sure I'm supposed to advertise - but they should be rewarded for good service -

It is in South Africa weirdly - I tried approaching the datacentre directly(www.hetzner.de/en/hosting) but they were hopeless AND twice the price!!!
Also you needed to order a root server to get e.g. cPanel

I have absolutely no conection with them - 300Rand is around €25 a month - for this you get I must say a lot... especially cpanel and WHM - they accept € and you can start with just a month

But up to you..

Re things like compressing css .. this is only playing at the edges..

The delays come because there will be 500-800 plus other sites sharing your server - so between the clients click and the file being sent back there will always be delays waiting on resources .. the transfer times are fast - it's the dely between click and respond from the server thats the problem.

I still think the missing product is the delay - but if in testing you can find any other reason - we will certainly have a look..
But if this was a bug I'm sure we would have had many reports of it by now..

my cart doesn't work anymore .... when i put a product in my cart, the dropdown shows that i have a product but when i click on "show cart", the cart is empty !!!!

what changes have you made? - there is always a reason for everything... it was working before - what have you changed?

if I add an item and then go here : www.atelierdouceur.fr/voir-le-contenu-de-votre-panier it is in the cart..

I can then register and go out to the confirmation..

One thing I notice - on the standard VM cart there in only a link to view the cart 'voir mon panier' (index.php?page=shop.cart&option=com_virtuemart)

on our test site when I use the link index.php?page=checkout.index&ssl_redirect=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2 (Commander) this gives a server 303 respnse (that means the server knows another url to this page and redirects) to

index.php?page=checkout.index&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2&redirected=1&Itemid=2

Yours does as well but gives an empty cart - you can try this url directly

www.atelierdouceur.fr/index.php?page=checkout.index&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29&redirected=1

and you can see the cart is shown empty - i.e. it is nothing to do with the cart module (it is just showing a link) - it is something to do with the way yiour server redirects that url...

What if you just disable the "Commander" button and just have the 'voir mon panier' button (which is all that is shown on other Cart modules - thsi works fine
