This may have been fixed in the latest update but I had unfortunately not paid for updates when I purchased this template.

On checkout, when the Ship To address is changed, the checkbox to use the same billing address and shipping address remains checked and when the shipment method is selected the shipping address is lost.

Normally we provide free support to individuals for fixing the bugs/problems.
But If the particular problem/bug has been fixed by the released updates. We won't provide free support about it anymore. Because we already patched it and released an update. Then, it would be unfair for those who pay for the updates.

The bug you are asking require some JavaScript and PHP coding edits in shopping cart page (under templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/cart/ folder), so it is not an easy task to achieve.
