Something happened and in one of my site's languages when you press register & Checkout within the cart page it pops up the same page in a modal window...

It was just yesterday that it worked just fine and nothing got changed in the meantime.. It works in English but not in Greek...

Any ideas?

I fixed it by overriding the Jpath. I gave a fixed path and it's OK.

No clue though why this happened but since it's working, I have no problem.

Another more feature oriented question:

Is it possible to have multiple checkout buttons in any of your templates? I need this for another customer who wants to have multiple scenarios (for inctance, checkout with money, points or cashback rebates)

Hi,

Having different checkout buttons for different scenarios is only possible with "PayPal Express Checkout" which is the new feature that has been added to Virtuemart with the latest version (vm2.0.26). All of our templates will be updated within couple days to support this new feature.

Beside that Express Checkout button, there is no way that i know. i actually didn't even understand what exactly meant though, but sounds like it is a custom modification which is beyond our free support.

Here's what I meant:

Each customer has the ability to checkout using the following:
1. Usual credit card, wire transfer or paypal and get 20% discount (button1)
2. Checkout using money rebate scenarios during which they buy an item and get X amount of euros in their e-wallet account
3. Checkout with points awarded, where they buy the item and get X points in their account.

Assuming that I do have the components to support points and rebates, I need the ability to have 3 separate checkout buttons for each of the above scenarios.

You can check www.inatural.gr and see exactly what I mean. Just ad a product to your cart and see the options you get to checkout.

If you can do such a customized checkout for me, just name your price so that I can include it in the overall cost and inform the customer.

I understand what you meant now. This kind of usage is nothing but "Custom Field" in Virtumart.
Products have different prices for different scenarios.

It is just more user-friendly in that website. The Custom Field in Virtuemart does the same thing (theoretically) but it is less user-friendly.

Modifying Virtuemart core files to get the same look, will be challenging. Beside i am not 100% positive that modifying virtuemart core files by itself would be enough to get what you are looking for. Furthermore; modifying Virtuemart core files eventually will give you trouble in the future (because once the Virtuemart gets updated to any newer version, all the core modifications will be refreshed back to factory settings).

So all in all, I should reject this customization project for now. But I would suggest you to find an alternative eCommerce software that will let you have that kind of structure (native, without any customization). -OR- try forum.virtuemart.net to find a VM expert who will accept this job for you (if you insist using Virtuemart)
