I have a serious problem with the drop down cart. When switching collections throught the main menu, clicking the cart will not give a dropdown. Therefore customers can't check out.

Really could use some help here.

Hi,

After clicking the "Collection" menu item, i don't know if you notice; the dropdown effect of the "Collection" itself also doesn't work. Because it is a jQuery based effect. The dropdown menu just pops-up, but normally it should smoothly slides down.

The reason of why the dropdown menu (of Collection menu item) and our Dropdown Shopping Cart module don't work is because of these 2 jQuery conflict errors:

Those 2 conflict errors should be gone. And then everything will start working as expected. It is not okay to leave the website with those conflict errors. Soon or later you will have some more bigger problems. (for example; not loading "states" based on the selected country while registering) I am sure that functionality also doesn't work as well. All in all, you have to eliminate the jQuery conflict errors.

Even though we are not responsible for this problem I will guide you to solve them.
(because the error caused by your Joomla Template. It is a jQuery version incompatibility issue between your joomla template and Virtuemart. Your joomla template requires higher jQuery version but Virtuemart loads jQuery1.6.4 officially. Normally we don't provide free support if the problem doesn't caused by our extensions. Because we are not responsible for those problems.)

Please try them, one of them might solve the issue you are having:

1- Open this JS file:
www.webovuurwerk.nl/templates/vuurwerkportaal/js/template.js

and completely remove these lines:
$(window).bind("load", function(){
		$(window).bind("resize", (function(){
		    var ele = $("#page-bg > div:first"), 
		        fit = function(){
		            ele.css("min-height","").css("min-height", $(document).height());
		        };
		    fit();
		    return fit;
		})());
	});	

2- If the previous patch doesn't solve, then instal the EasyjQuery plugin:
www.flexiblewebdesign.com/forum-virtuemart-2-template-puremart-support/523-the-easiest-way-to-solve-jquery-conflict-issues

and select jQuery1.8 from the plugin parameter (in the above topic, jQuery1.6 is recommended, but you have to chose higher)

If none of them solves the conflict issue, then contact to YooTheme support desk and ask them to resolve those jQuery Conflict issues.

Did you also do this?

If still no luck, you need to contact with yootheme and ask them "how possible run the yootheme templates with jQuery1.6 because Virtuemart officially loads and requires jQuery1.6)

There is one more thing you may consider doing, just came to my mind after looking at your website again. Which is to uninstall the "YooTheme WidgetKit" component. (i don't know if this will solve the problem though but i am 90% positive about it).
BEFORE TRYING IT BACKUP FIRST, IN CASE THIS WON'T HELP. If you don't use any Yootheme WidgetKits or it is not a mandatory component, don't even think twice and uninstall it, even though it won't solve the problem. Because widgetKit loads very large JS and CSS files to your website which increases the page loading time a lot.

Hi,
I have done your patch and installed jquery easy plugin. How ever to have the custom filter function properly I have to excluse my template in the jquery plugin. But only on this site and not the previous..

I unfortunately use the widgetkit for the scroller and slideshow.

Please I just bought premium support. Could you have a deeper look how to fix this? From yootheme no reaction so far..

its the holiday season and today was the Thanksgiving.
Even though i think yootheme is a German company, they might give them selves a holiday. I don't know.

Anyway, i am seeing you purchased 1-hour premium support, you should have emailed and provide what you need from us for the premium support hour. I will try to eliminate the conflict error without touching the WidgetKit component on your website.

Provide me your:
- FTP credentials
- Joomla Super administrator account
