Hi,
You should contact to that Custom Filters developer and ask the same question.
Looks like their plugin automatically selects "default" layout without looking what has been selected through VM backend.
Another way of handling this issue is;
- Rename the "default" layout to "default2"
- Rename the "flexv2" layout to "default"
So actually the "flexv2" layout will be your default layout. Got it?
To do it, open your FTP and find these files:
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.xml
rename them to:
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default2.php
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default2.xml
Then, follow the same idea for the flexv2;
rename:
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/flexv2.php
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/flexv2.xml
to
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php
/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.xml
From now on, your "flexv2" layout has become "default" layout by renaming those files. So now you can select the "default" layout from the VM Configuration to get the old flexv2 layout,since your custom filter will also use the same "default" layout, there will be no difference.

Support.
