2. This is a grid view. As you can see when you hover over the product you don’t see the image sliding up. you also don’t see additional images of the product. But you see the image changing somehow.
3. Once you click on any category or custom field on the menu on the left theme responds differently. The image starts to slide, and the additional image show up.

My questions is the following.

1. How do I stop all the images from sliding up on all the pages I don’t want this effect.
2. How do I get additional images to show on all products on all pages.
3. How do I get the background to show up the same, you can see the difference between the two examples I gave above.

i don't understand why you created 2 sets of questions. You confused me. But here is the idea:
CleanMart comes with 2 different category page and 2 different product details page layouts. You are going to choose one of them that you like the most.

- Default category browse page has the "slide up" effect.
- Flexv2 category browse page has the swap thumbnail on mouse-hover feature
