Hi,

I have a problem to open the shoppingcard from the frontpage (hover (ajax))
When ssl is not enabled yet (it doesn't open when I hover the shoppingcard button.
Of course I have the the login environment and the shopping card with articles in it enabled for ssl and then it works fine (https in url)

But what if a customer did not buy anything yet, he didn't login yet so the url of the website is still without https. Or perhaps the customer added something in the shopping card (at that moment https becomes active) but after that he goes to other places (outside of the webshop) and is on pages which are not https enabled. The shopping card is at the frontpage so when he hovers the shopping card at that moment there is no https in the url and nothing happens.

The only solution I can come up with is to put the frontpage under https as well, but that can't be the right way to do it?
I enabled https for component/virtuemart/cart in .htacces but it is not enough for the ajax shopping card button, is it?

Yes., you are right, using https:// in the homepage doesn't make any sense.

I believe you need a custom changes.
The custom code should check the current page.

- If the current page is HTTPS:// then dropdown shopping cart should try to access to shopping cart page (to grab the added products) through HTTPS://

- If the current page is HTTP:// then it should do it through HTTP protocol.

This problem have been asked before, so I believe I should include this patch to our VM Template permanently as well.
Let me work on it little bit and run some TESTs, i will let you know here.

I am having some hard time to make it work in every situation.
So your individual situation must be solved individually, because not everybody force the shopping cart page to https through .htacces

Please provide me your website and let me see it first, then i will provide you a little patch to solve the problem.
