TOPIC: Offputting security warning when entering the cart

Offputting security warning when entering the cart 11 years 2 months ago #2501

Hi.
this obviously depends on your browser settings but is there any way to prevent this security warning when you add something to the cart as i suspect it will impact on sales ?

Hi,

This warning shows off if you use http:// protocol with
Image, iframe, CSS or JS file loading (except <a href="www.google.com"> something </a> everything must be https:// Only <a href=""> can be http:// )

Looks like shopping cart has these kind of links that break the https:// encryption.
Open your shopping cart, then see "source codes" and search for all http:// links. Correct them with https:// (except <a href=""></a> links, even <img src=""> must be https:// got it?)

As i am seeing in your source codes:
<l-ink href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Carme' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

This line is broken the https:// protocol, because it loads the CSS with http://
This line should be:
<l-ink href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Carme' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

Find out what loads this line and change its http:// to https://

Also i am seeing this:
<!--[if IE]>
			 <i-frame style="width: 293px; height: 535px; margin: -1px -4px 0 -4px;" frameborder="0" border="0" src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?locale=en_GB&href=https://www.facebook.com/Topiaryball&width=300&colorscheme=light&connections=50&stream=true&header=false&height=820" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
<![endif]-->
and
<i-frame src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FTopiaryball&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=false&amp;width=960&amp;action=like&amp;font=arial&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;height=30" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:960px; height:30px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

Change their URL with https:// as well
But again, you need to figure out where those lines come from.

This is not an issue that comes with our VM Template ;)
Those links that exist in your website, they are there either because of your joomla template or because of the 3rd party extension you are using. This is why i have told you "you need to figure out where those lines come from" because i don't know.

I don't know what loads Google Font in your website through http:// protocol.

If you browse our VM Template with https:// protocol, you will notice nothing is broken the encryption:

Yes sorry I didn't mean to suggest that it was anything to do with your template which is fantastic, I think it is the cart module that is causing it and wondered if your new cart that is due out soon might be just what I'm after - how long is it going to be ?!!

Everyday after i have successfully answer all support question in forum, I am spending my time for that new joomla+virtuemart template.

since In couple days past i haven't done anything, 'cause forum takes all of my time.
Hopefully soon ;) I want it to be perfect, and want to implement one more thing that hasn't been implemented to Virtuemart before. It is going to be a big deal if i will be able to do it ;) This is the reason of delay. Otherwise, everything is all ready to go.

Regards.

Hi Richard,

the feature that i have managed yesterday has been resolved today. Everything looks awesome now.
The feature that i have told you yesterday, was "showing additional pictures in category browse page". This feature hasn't been implemented to VM2 before. It is a very useful function for clothing store in case that particular product has some color variations.

Here are some screen screenshots from the new VM + Joomla template.
The layout and the color scheme might change to GRAY instead of this much DARK though.

But more or less it will appear like this:

It still requires some CSS retouches in some sections though, but i am guess it will be out this weekend.

Cheers.

This looks great well done, i will be getting this one straightaway - you did mention before a new cart too that would be available to implement on Puremart as well as the new template is this going to be ready this weekend too ?
My shops have just been lacking the simpleness of a really good cart that is "made to measure" if you see what i mean? i really like all your stuff and i am sure the shops will work better if i just use your work !!
cheers

Yep, this is one of the plans.
We are planing to release that dropdown shopping cart module for free just for prestige of flexiblewebdesign.com purposes. So it can be installed to any Virtuemart 2 sites (included PureMArt and all other VM2 Templates).

Topic is closed for forum clearance.
Cheers.
