Hi,

Are you working in a live server?
If so, please let me know your website URL and let me check. Because your 1st question doesn't make any sense to me. I should see it visually and take a look at the source codes of your website.

About the 2nd question, our VM Template doesn't come with any H1, h2, h3.... styles. So if you put something like <h1> something </h1> to long product description field. This will be styled as what ever your joomla template says. I am hopping you are talking about the long description field, because Virtuemart has 2 different product descriptions:

1 - product short description,
2 - product description (long description)

The short description is used in META tags, so it must be plain text and not longer than couple sentences. If you put some HTML tags in it, they will be removed automatically before they got saved in the DATABASE (by virtuemart, not by our VM Template). But this is not the case with long description field. You can put any HTML tags you want in it, you can even include youtube video iframe embed code if you wish. No limitation. And depends on what the CLASS and HTML TAGs are, those elements are styled with your joomla template's typography.

Hi,

This is a CSS issue, mostly like you are using a Virtuemart-Ready Joomla Template. And your joomla template is trying to stylize the add to cart button. It is just a CSS override issue. So; your joomla template's influence on add to cart button must be removed, but i can't tell you or provide you any instruction until i see your website in action and investigate the source codes with Mozilla Firebug plugin.

Please let me know when you upload your website in a live server where i can browse it. Then i would tell you the exact css file and what css rules you should remove to avoid this CSS overriding.

Hi,

I am not using a VM ready Joomla template . But a recent Boostrap enabled Template . ANd these responsive CSS seem to be causing me some trouble with VM . Bootstrap CSS code seems to ake precedence over even lower level CSS files.
I have sorted the CSS issues for now disabling most boostrap rules ..
What I would suggest , if I ma, is that you use non standard ids and classes name for your template elements, and also make plans for a futire version that would be compatible with "responsive", bootstrap enabled Joomla template, as most Joomla Template companies now are going this route .
My website is www.livenative.fr and will be online within hours , the shop is at www.ln2013b.fr/index.php/boutique

Catherine

Hi,

Our VM Template is not promising to be "responsive". Honestly that technically impossible.
Because responsiveness is based on Joomla Template.

Reponsive Joomla templates load an additional CSS file (usually responsive.css) once the website is browsed with mobile devices. The sizings are regenerated etc.. and this CSS gets loaded and it includes some display:none; rule for some elements or resize the some elements or change some of layouts visualization.

Probably you already know this since you are familiar with it.
And since this CSS file is located templates/<yourjoomlatemplate>/css/responsive.css
Our VM Template has absolutely no access to this file. We should have asked our users to copy-paste some CSS rule to this CSS file for responsiveness which would just give more trouble. A Simple steps such as; Uploading 3 folders to ROOT/templates/ is already complicated enough for our clients even though we have provided screenshots in the TUTORIAL.PDF ;)

So all in all, hiding some elements that come with our VM Template, or put some extra CSS rule to make them look in the minimized browser is all up to you.

For instance, the TAB section in the product details page wouldn't look. The text size of TABs must be minimized, or maybe the STAR icons in the "review" tab must be eliminated with display:none etc.. Since all those modifications must be made through responsive.css and since not all joomla templates have a responsive layout, it is technically impossible for us to make our VM Template responsive. It is all up to you to make those changes depends on what you are looking for.
