well our drop down check out box refuses to 'dropdown' while the user is navigated everywhere else except our front page ie products lists

Hi,

It is because your website contains jQuery Conflicts in everywhere. Our dropdown requires jQuery in order run properly, (the zoom effect as well, and all the other fancy effects that come with our VM Template as well..) I am seeing dropdown is working in homepage, but it is all because of "luck", this doesn't change the fact that your website contain jQuery Conflicts.

First of all, keep these thumb rules in your mind;
1- jQuery conflicts are the biggest enemy of the website. You should be stay away from them all the time. For instance, just because everything is working alright in homepage, you shouldn't abandon the jQuery Conflict issue.

2- loading 1 single jQuery Library is enough for every applications that require jQuery. Loading 1 single jQuery for the entire website will eliminate the jQuery conflicts by 99%.

3- And finally, jQuery Library MUST be loaded before the JS files. Mostly at the top of the website (in terms of line numbers in source codes)

Let me show you some screenshots from your website.






Your website is loading 3 jQuery. 2 of them are 1.6.4 (yes, they are the same but gets loaded in different lines, and the other one is 1.7.2)
You should get rid of this variations and go with 1 single jQuery, which should be 1.6.4 because Virtuemart officially loads jQuery1.6.4 and all of the applications and extensions that come with our VM template have been developed based on working with jQuery1.6.4

The solutions:

1- Disable that showmodalpopup plugin
If still not fix the problems, open this file: /templates/kaan_006/index.php
and delete the LINE that loads /templates/kaan_006/jquery.js

OR

2- Install "jQuery Easy" plugin to your website.
This plugin will basically do the same thing as you have to do at the 1st options but automatically!!. It will let only 1 jQuery to be loaded in the website and block the others (automatically).
It is a free plugin and you can download that plugin through here: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-enhancements/performance/jquery-scripts/18327
By the way, after you install this plugin, don't forget to choose jQuery1.6 from the plugin parameter (because you will need jQuery1.6.4, not newer, not lower)

I am glad things get worked well. Once you add something to your website that has to do with JAVA or jQuery; You should always check your website in case any jQuery conflict issue with using FireBug plugin (of mozilla FireFox). jQuery conflict issues are the biggest enemy of the website.
