Hi i begin another post for those who search for the same things in the future ..

I have some strange things .. maybe its a problem of configuration on my side or a misunderstanding .. but it not working like it would be i think ..

On my products i am using some custom fields this is the BE screen for example :



The search output is "Choose a type of products" and the select permit to choose between "Parents Groups" i have created

I have for example for the "group of fields "Projecteur" want to make a group of custom fields for applying them like a list of specification of the product to show in your template ( weight size ..luminosity .. technical spécifications items etc ..

Maybe it exists an extension better to solve that ? or is it buggy ?

what i expect : i want to permit users to choose for example an item custom like luminosity and such things you know ?

Why does it just list the parents groups of fields ?

I read your message like 5 times, but i couldn't understand what you are saying.

But I have noticed very weird thing in your website. Let me tell you this:
(And i have no idea why it acts like that though)

I opened this page:
ROOT/index.php?keyword=barco+10k&limitstart=0&option=com_virtuemart&view=category

Type something in the search field (without touching anything). And clicked "search". It goes to 404 error page, then i noticed in the URL that, &option=com_virtuemart is missing in the URL,
For example, i typed "encore" in the field, and the URL becomes:
ROOT/index.php?custom_parent_id=0&keyword=encore&search=true&view=category

if I manually include the &option=com_virtuemart
The URL becomes:
ROOT/index.php?custom_parent_id=0&keyword=encore&search=true&view=category&option=com_virtuemart

It shows the result properly.

Is that the problem you are having? I have no idea by it eliminates the &option=com_virtuemart from the URL, did you touch any core PHP file? Because this search page has nothing to do with our VM Template.
If it is the problem, then try to update your Virtuemart Component and Virtuemart AIO Component (both of them) to VM2.0.14... (if you are already in this version for both component, try to reinstall them again)

Additionally try to eliminate our VM Template (temporarly) from the website and try to run it again (with original Virtuemart)
To eliminate our VM Template temporarly find this folder in your server:
ROOTtemplates/rt_ionosphere/html/com_virtuemart/
and change its name to
ROOT/templates/rt_ionosphere/html/com_virtuemart2/

Once you browse your website, you would notice you are now using the original Virtuemart. And try the search section again in case you still receives the 404 error.
