First of all, our VM Template has no influence in the Virtuemart backend, but the K2Mart has.
But both our VM Template and K2Mart has influence in the Virtuemart front-end, right? So you won't have any problem in the Virtuemart backend, since K2Mart will be alone, but there will be CSS layout issues (a lot) in the Virtuemart Frontend, which is because both our VM Template and K2Mart will try to stylize the same elements in the Virtuemart front-end. This will cause a lot CSS layout issues. For example (i am just making up this scenario), while styling the "add to cart" button, padding:10px will be taken from our VM Template's CSS file, and margin:10px; will be taken from K2MArt's CSS file, the result will look ugly of course with unwanted extra spaces. You see what i mean? To have our PureMart to control your Virtuemart forntpage, you should need to eliminate the CSS influence of K2MArt completely, for this purpose, you can use the Firebug (firebug is a Mozilla Firebox plugin) and investigate the corrupted layout and eliminate the CSS rules that come with K2mart. I don't think it will take more then couple hours, but definitely it will require some effort, and not an easy job if you don't know what you are doing.
Cheers.
