But I dont want to move my specifications tab down there, I want to create a whole new tab down there for something else.

How can I add extra tabs down there and be able to add content in them like the Product Description tab is.

What version of PureMart you are using?
With the help of the joomla plugin, "Flexible VM2 Template" , which comes with PureMArt V3.0+ you can create 2 more custom TAB. And you can put in it what ever you would like, it can include HTML element as well. But you should have the PureMart V3.0 (or above version) to have that joomla plugin.

I believe I am on 3.0 already. Either way, I recently got the files for 3.2 so I will be updating to that in the next day or so. Could you tell me where exactly I can go to add additional tabs, I have looked and not found anything.

Also, when updating the PureMart template, how do I do so without overwriting all of my changes to the main css file FlexibleVM2Global.css? I don't want to lose all of the customization that Ive been doing the entire past 2 months O_o

Hi,

Simply use your previous flexibleVM2Global.css that you had before, we usually don't touch the CSS file much, most of the updates include only PHP file edits. (at least from v3.0 to v3.2, we didn't touch the flexibleVM2Global.css it has remained the same)

Once you get the v3.2 you will also get a plugin that is called "Flexible VM2 Template", install it to your joomla through "Extension Manager". Within this plugin, you will be able generate up to 2 custom TABs and you can put what ever you want in these TABs, you can even put some HTML code in it. You will be doing this through "Flexible VM2 Template" plugin.

I was hoping to make the content of each new tab different for each item though. Is there anyway to do that or do the content of the 2 custom tabs have to be the same for all of the items and show up for all of them?

Unfortunately no, only custom fields available for each item differently are "product description" and "product short description". Beside those 2, you can't define any more fields for each item differently (unless Virtuemart Hack, which i wouldn't recommend since your change will be eventually retrieved once you update your Virtuemart)
