I'm using Puremart Version 3.4

I really need your layout. What can I do?
Is there any code I can implement?
Do you need the login data of the site? The site is currently off...

I am glad you loved the checkout page layout we have used in flexiblewebdesign.com
We are not using Virtuemart 2.0.xx in flexiblewebdesign.com so this layout and the "checkout" process won't work for your website. Beside, we don't provide support for "custom changes".

But for your "Flexible" template for example I saw, that you already use this kind of cart layout and checkout processing.

So is there no chance to get the same code or just to change the template override for the whole cart folder in backend or s.th. like this?

Hi,

FlexibleMart Theme you see in our template library and the flexiblewebdesign.com, both are using VM1.1.xx
VM1.1.xx is the old version of Virtuemart. Now we have VM2.0.xx

If there was a chance, i would provide it to you. With VM2.0.xx the checkout process has been changed. Before (in VM1.1.xx) there was "steps" checkout page process. Such as,

Step 1: Provide Shipping & Billing Address [NEXT]
Step 2: Select Shipping Method [NEXT]
Step 3: Select Payment Method [NEXT]
Step 4: Review & Confirm Order [DONE]

Which is the ideal way and most user friendly way of a checkout process. Even amazon.com uses this scheme, and ordinary shoppers are familiar with these checkout steps. But in VM2.0.xx things have changed. Now we have 1-page checkout page design (which is totally absurd in my opinion and creates lots of confusion for shoppers)

There is no going back to "step-style" checkout page for VM2.0.xx, lots of core hacking would be necessary and there will be some problem definitely. It would definitely be waste of time (for me), waste of money (for you).

you're right. I just saw, that there are two Flexible templates and I just saw the one for VM 1.

I talked to VM people and found a solution for me to get the checkout process like I need it, but I had to buy another VM theme, which already structured the checkout processing for my needs.

So now I'm in use now of your Puremart theme, which I absolutely prefer, for the whole VM.
But for the checkout process I implemented the other theme. So I'm in use of two different themes now.

It works very well and I see no issues by now.

Maybe it would make sense to structure it the way you wrote below for future themes. I think there are a lot of people, who want the standard checkout process, instead of the one page checkout. I really don't understand, why VM people programmed it now this way. But this is another topic.

What theme you are using to have the separate checkout steps?

I thought that's not possible to have "native" checkout steps in VM2.0.xx. Maybe that theme has manipulated it to get the same feeling, which is a good idea though.
