Use of bandwidth increased from change to sportmart
Hello, three months ago I changed my page www.mascotamoda.com to the template sportman.
Since you make the change, the bandwidth usage is multiplied by 6.
The visits to my site continue the same (400 daily on average) but for some reason the usage of bandwidth is too much.
Can you help me?
You can't expect everything to be same. Apparently your old theme was little simple and didn't cause too many http requests. For instance, loading the product module on homepage (considering you list 15 product sin the slider) will increase the http requests by 15. There are many other factors that increases the http requests (and eventually, the bandwidth)
You may trying enabling the "Joomla Cache" and use a "Compress & Minify" plugin (i.e: JCH Optimize) to reduce the HTTP requests. Have you tried them?
FYI: Bandwidth is not really a important parameters these days, most hosting providers offers extreme high bandwidth limits and most of the time you can't allocate it (unless you get 1 million visitors a day)
Alternatively, you can use CloudFlare service on your website. CloudFlare is a free CDN service which serves the contents of your website from the CDN server instead of your server. This will not just minimize your bandwidth usage but will also increase the loading performance of your website in general.
