I've looked at the theme options but i don't see a way to disable the effect from the admin panel. I disabled the class with css but the problem is that it's buggy on mobile phones as the image is full width and you can not scroll the page if you touch the image which captures the whole screen. I also tried to rename the FlexibleZoomEffect.js but it then disables the modal image view which i want to have.

Touch base device problem has been reported previously. The ZoomEffect was failing to work properly on touch based devices (mobile devices).. The problem was; it wasn't possible to scroll down by tapping the product picture because of the ZoomEffect container manipulates the tap movement.. This problem has just been fixed.

The new behavior is;

- One finger Tap & Move on picture: Nothing happens.. user scrolls the page up&down.
- Double fingers Tap & Move on picture: Activates the zoomEffect and lets user to move around container.

To apply the patch; see attached JS file


(unzip first) and upload (overwrite) the flexibleZoomEffect.js file to this location:
Joomla_ROOT/plugins/system/flexibleTemplate/elements/js/flexibleZoomEffect.js

You can also check the SportMart Live Demo to see if the patch is working fine (i applied the patch to live demo as well)

FYI: The patch is confirmed to work on IOS devices, if you have an Android, please do confirm if it works on Android as well..
