Unfortunately i can't help you on this. Because this has absolutely nothing to do with our template.
Our templates are only effective on the end-user side, not on the server side. (otherwise they wouldn't be called template).
Sending emails, processing orders, creating users, changing status and all kind of other "sensitive" things are taken care by the Virtuemart core and templates are not "allowed" to touch.
I would suggest you to check if your server is capable send emails properly, but you are saying you are getting all the emails, but "confirmed" emails. So this must be related to configuration. Make sure setup "email sending" correctly through Virtuemart.
