I love the cleanmart template; however after installing, every time I add an item to cart I am redirected to either the account signup page (if not signed in) or redirected to the checkout & shipping info page. How do I turn this off? I am using an AJAX based live shopping cart, so I don't want any redirect or popup at all when adding items to the shopping cart.

Are you using 3rd party extension for the Shopping Cart page? (i am talking about the "page" not the shopping cart "module")
(such as; 1-page checkout page extension etc..)

If yes, then;
You should contact the developer of that 3rd party extensions.

If no, then;
Navigate to VM Backend >> Configuration >> Checkout

and make sure this option is UNCHECKED:
-> One Page Checkout enabled


If you want to turn off the "redirect to shopping cart page upon adding product to cart"

(within the same page: VM Backend >> Configuration >> Checkout) CHECKED this option:
-> Display modal popup upon 'Add to cart'

So the notification box will be appeared after adding any product to cart (instead of redirecting to shopping cart page)

Hi guys,
is there the way, how to not use modal window and do not redirect to checkout / shopping cart page ?
What I need is - after clicking add to cart button is page just reloaded, remain on same product page ...

You would need a code hack in this JS files;

/components/com_virtuemart/assets/js/vmprices.js

to disable the "Modal Popup". (but enable the "show modal popup" parameter in VM Configuration).

(comment out the lines to load the modal popup -- Facebox or Fancybox, which ever you are using currently)

Since it is a custom modification, it is beyond our free support. I can't guide you step-by step.
It is not recommended to touch vmsite.js though, because it is a very important file and takes care the core functions for adding product to cart. if you insist, then you can raise this question in forum.virtuemart.net
