I have edited the stockable.php as mentioned in your tutorial but I still have problems with stock control.
I have configured VM 2.14 to control stock and show notify when out of stock.
Stock levels are all 1000 and available date 11-oct-2013.

NOW ALL PRODUCTS SHOW NOTIFY ME....

no one can order unless I deactivate stock control...

Please provide more details about your settings.

You mentioned modifying the "stockable.php" but are you using "Vm Custom Field - Stockable Variant" ?
Because stackable.php only gets used in that specific custom field.

No I am now using that field. I will change stockable back then. I had the problem before that aswell though.

what other settings would you like to know?
