Hello,
I'm trying to figure this out by myself but cant find the glitch.

I set Default items per listing view to 20 but when I click category I see only 8 products and the drop-down list below "Results 1-8 from 23" is set to 4 by default.

This don't make any sense to me! How to fix it, where is the problem?

Have you set pagination? This has been mentioned at least 3 times on this forum..

If you mean setting the Default items per listing view under VM/Configuration/Shopfront then yes. It is set to 20.
