Thanks for such a great extension!


I am having the following problems with the extension:

1. I need to move the AJAX Cart to the right of my template.
For now I had to move the "sign in / register" to a different module, however, this actually needs to be where the "AJAX Cart" is now.
So, I need the system to move the CART to the right of the template.

2. It seems like the CSS of the template is using pagination instead of the PureMart extension. Please assist here.

Hi,

About your 1st question. I can't help you on that, because it has nothing to do with our VM Template.
We are providing free support only if there is a problem. Your question is about how to customize Joomla Template.
You can take care of it with CSS and you might need to play around some lines in your Joomla Template layout page (/templates/<yourjoomlatemplate>/index.php) as well. Or you might need to create a new "module position" to separate those "login" module and "shopping cart" module.

On the other hand, your 2nd question is related to our VM Template and i am responsible to fix it.
Please look at your server and see if this PHP file is exist:

ROOT/templates/<yourjoomlatemplate>/html/pagination.php

If it is exist, then change its name to
pagination2.php

If this name change don't fix the pagination problem, please provide me your website URL and let me see it, it might be related to CSS overriding, i should see and investigate the source codes in order to provide you a proper patch about it.

That seemed to fix the pagination problem.

However, this morning the "add to cart" button doesn't seem to be working.
I know that Virtuemart has troubles with this, but I believe that your component uses the AJAX add to cart without any problems.

The add to cart button works when I disable it in the Virtuemart backend, but this is sufficient for my client.
Is this due to a Jquery problem?

Hi,

Yes, jQuery conflict issue is the biggest enemy of "not working" add to cart button.
If it has started recently, then it is 100% jQuery issue. Most likely the extension/module/plugin/component that you have installed to your website recently is tend to load an another jQuery library to your website which causes the Conflict.

While installing an another extension to your website, always check the source codes in your website. There should be only 1 jQuery loaded, and since the most important component in your website is Virtuemart and since Virtuemart officially requires jQuery1.6.4 (so do the tools [quicklook, zoom effect, and other things] that come with our VM Template), then your website MUST load jQuery1.6 only!. Eliminate the others.

Eliminate jQuery loading either by coding modification (in the extension that loads extra jQuery) OR look at this topic:

Basically the plugin that explained in that topic above does the same thing what you are supposed to do. Leave 1 jquery in the website and blocks the others.
