I'm having some issues with the zoom function in the product detail page.
I cannot see the tiny little lens and no lighbox zoom area appears.
As suggested from you I took a look with mozilla and firebug, and seems that I'm having some issues with jquery libraries.
So I downloaded and installed the "jquery easy plugin" in my website, and enabled it with the default parameters stated in the thread related to this issue.
Long story short : the zoom functionality works fine, but all the other cool functions stop working...
I tried to swap the jquery version to see if anything changes, but nothing happens.
Firebug tells me that there are some issues with the Dojo loader, so I tried to disable the Dojo loader plugin in joomla and enable only the "Jquery easy" plugin.
this time firebug reports no error at all, but all the website stop working.
I would really love to have the zoom effects on the product detail page, and any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
My website is a multilanguage site ( ita+eng) and is in final developement stage in a test area, and I'm working hard to release it as soon as possible.
I have latest version of joomla ( 2.5.9) , latest version of virtuemart ( 2.0.18a) , updated rockettheme template and the latest version of your template ( 3.4)

right now I had to disable the jquery easy plugin to go ahead with my work, but I'm afraid that this issue could affect also some other minor customiziation that I need to make to the template.
For ex. I need to add the quantity box to the roduct detail page, but even if I had modified the flex2.php file as suggested in this forum still I can't see the quantity box.

As i am seeing in your website.
The source of the problem is this file:
com_gcalendar/libraries/jquery/jquery.min.js

Because it loads jQuery1.8.1 which is extremely new. Virtuemart (officially) and our Zoom Effect requires jQuery1.6
If you are not going to use this calendar component, you can try to uninstall from your website.
If this is not the case and you need this calendar, then there is only possible solution for your case which is;
Loading jQuery1.6 only for zoom effect and changing jQuery variable. I am sure this will work just fine.

I won't touch any jQuery loading in other sections of your website but try to change things only in our PureMArt template to be able to make zoom effect run properly.

Dear Sir,
Assuggested I unistalled the google calendar from my website ( I was wondering if this component could be useful for me , but I prefer to not mess with my virtuemart, so there is no problem at all to unistall it) and something is changed.
Now the zoom effect works fine, as your demo site, so I think that the problem could be marked as "solved"

I would like to thank you for your precious support, and If I'm allowed to give you a suggestion I noticed some other strange behaviour both in your demo website and in mine..

the zoom effect work only in "zoom" and not in "resize" mode.
To be more specific : I see the lightbox area near the product, but when I click on the image and then click on the "resize" button to zoom out the tiny lens does not shows anymore.
I have to change image to let the zoom function work again.
This problem become more evident if the "quick look" button on the category view is used.
the lighbox opens correctly, the zoom works fine, but if I click on the image I have only a blank page with the image, and there is no chance to come back to the product "quick look" lighbox other than close the popup and reopen again.
I hope that this not bothers you, I only wanted to be helpful.

Hi,

It was exactly how you want to be before, But there was some unexpected buggy behaviors.
So we did it that way, otherwise it would give some unexpected results. Once the image is enlarged, the zoom effect should have been stopped. You should need to click it one more time to activate the zoom effect (for the enlarged picture) or switch to another thumbnail.
So what ever you see in your website (this is how it is) is the most appropriate way to make it worked fluently, the other way around is worse than how it is now.

In the quickLook mode, there shouldn't be any "enlarge view" option. We have disabled that option in the quicklook page, because the zoomed area goes crazy because some people are using extremely large resolution pictures (2000x2000 or more) and beside the zoom area gets hidden inside the lightbox (since the quicklook lightbox is relative small comparing to website layout).

The whole things and how they behavs in your website are also same in our DEMO. So there is no buggy activity thing in your website. And i accept those are "problems" and we are aware of those problems. The zoomEffect will be revised, (because it needs a revision) and hopefully those issues will be patched in the next release. I have collected many complaints about puremart, some are major, some are minor. So the time is approaching and in a week or maybe less the PureMart will be updated, there are some other things to improve the Template (in addition to bugs patching). We have been just waiting for Virtuemart Developers in case they might release a new virtuemart version (most likely VM2.0.20) but they just don't do it.

So for now, this case is solved and the topic is closed for forum clearance.
Your opinion and complains about the zoom effect will be considered, so don't worry.
