Getting gunked trying to set it up. Please help! 11 years 2 months ago #2382

Hello,
I just purchased PureMart but I simply cant get the look from the demo page.

I have problems with image view. I want it to be same as layout version 2 - gorast.com/nikoNEW/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=614&virtuemart_category_id=32

And also the category view is messed up. I want it to look like layout version 2. - gorast.com/nikoNEW/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=32

Please can someone help me?

Thanks,
S@

Hi,

It is because you were using a Virtuemart Ready template already, this is why. You should have used a ordinary Joomla template, because you are making that ordinary joomla template as "Virtuemart Ready" by applying our VM Template.

First of all, open this CSS file:
gorast.com/nikoNEW/templates/gk_yourshop/css/vm.css

Remove every single rules in this CSS file (make it empty, but don't delete the CSS file itself. Also don't forget to create a backup of it, in case you might need some of those CSS rules in some places)

Once you delete the CSS rules in that CSS file, our VM Template will start to take the control alone. And everything will look much better.

In addition to that, you can also do that:

Open this CSS file:
gorast.com/nikoNEW/templates/gk_yourshop/css/joomla.css

Find all the CSS rules that include this:
div#bottom-pagination

and eliminate it.

For instance, replace this CSS rule:
div.pagination ul,div#bottom-pagination ul {
	margin: 10px 0 0 0;
	padding: 3px 0;
	width: auto;
	text-align: center;
}

with this:
div.pagination ul {
	margin: 10px 0 0 0;
	padding: 3px 0;
	width: auto;
	text-align: center;
}

I am seeing there are 4 or 5 more in joomla.css file.

Also do the same thing in this CSS file as well:
gorast.com/nikoNEW/templates/gk_yourshop/css/style3.css

For instance replace this CSS rule:
#article-index ul li:hover, div.pagination ul li:hover, div#bottom-pagination ul li:hover {
     background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #0098CA;
     border: 1px solid #0079A1;
}

with this:
#article-index ul li:hover, div.pagination ul li:hover {
     background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #0098CA;
     border: 1px solid #0079A1;
}

To make things easier; i would suggest you to use Mozilla Firebug plugin to figure out what CSS rules more you need to eliminate from your joomla template, to make things appear exactly how you see in our DEMO. More info about firebug, check this page:

www.flexiblewebdesign.com/forum-virtuemart-2-template-puremart-support/342-using-firebug-for-customization-or-troubleshooting

I know it is time consuming, but it is the only way and also it is all because you have chose a "Virtuemart Ready" joomla template. Your joomla template is now doing the same thing: Stylizing the Virtuemart. Normally, joomla template doesn't include a CSS rule for div#bottom-pagination because it is a Virtuemart related element. If you are stick somewhere and can't handle it, ask my help here.

Getting gunked trying to set it up. Please help! 11 years 2 months ago #2399

Hi,
I figure it out that is a template that is messing with it so I installed clean joomla so I can setup as I like and THEN apply the template.

Now I got to somewhere but I still have issues.

Can you check this URL - www.gorast.com/gtest/index.php/component/virtuemart/web-camera-50e6f493a815b/camera-logit-50e6f5c3e012c-detail?Itemid=0

The problems:
1. When I click the image to enlarge I get the BLUE sides on rollover. - I corrected this in the CSS
2. In Large image, if I choose another thumbnail I get option to click on the large image again + the blue side on rollover. - ALSO the image is not centered. How can I center the large image?
3. I don't want the image to be click able when its already big. Don't want to see only the image.
4. There all sorts of image viewing problems. They are different sizes, the thumbs on other articles are different sizes. How that can be fixed?

Regarding the 2, 3 and 4 problems. The Quick Look option works perfectly. I want that to be for items also :D

Thanks for the template and fast support :D,
S@

Hi,

1, 2 and 3 - You can't turned-off that functionality. This is how it is. Because this is how our zoom effect was designed and developed.
Just consider this, you have 1500x1000 product picture, then making it bigger also not enough to see product image in its original resolution, (it might be either the website width is small or the content section is tight or the product image is huge), We should have taken into account this fact. So we also add this functionality to our zoom effect to get even larger view in the bigger view as well (just like how it is in store.apple.com and how it is in our DEMO:http://flexiblewebdesign.com/virtuemart-2-template-puremart/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=37&virtuemart_category_id=2)

I don't understand your last question.

Regards.
