Hi,
1- open this CSS file in your server:
ROOT/templates/<yourjoomlatemplatefolder>/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexibleVM2Global.css
browse to bottom and add this CSS declaration:
span.cart-images img {max-width:120px; max-height:120px;}
2- This is joomla related question. The modules are shown in pages based on "ItemID". And itemID is given to components or pages when you link those pages with "menu item". Every "menu item" has different itemID therefore, you can control the module appearing in any specific page if that pages has a specific itemID
So, for this pupose, create a new menu item (you can create a new menu group for this kind of purposes, so it won't be visible anywhere in the website, but it will help you to get some new itemID s for controlling the modules in that specific page).
Once you create this new menu item, choose the "shopping cart" from the list.

Once you create this menu item, your joomla will know that "shopping cart" page has different itemID than your VM Frontpage, so you will be eligible to disable the module appering specifically in shopping cart. Because VM Frontpage and Shopping cart use different itemID from now on. (normally they share the same itemID)
Ohh by the way, if you are using SEF (search engine friendly) URL feature of joomla, then your changes might not be effective right away, you might want to refresh (purge) the already generated sef-URLs.
Regards.
