Hi there, I love the Apple inspired search box, It's loading on all bar two of my pages (safari - not tested on other browsers). One page is a fox contact form, the other is a 'featured articles' page - with nothing in it yet.

I can't see any CSS conflict but i'm no expert coder.

Hi,

It is because the extension of search module requires flexibleVM2Global.css in order to run, (which comes with our VM Template) and this CSS file is loaded only in Virtuemart-related pages. When you go out to any other component's page (for example; com_contents which is used to show "articles" in your joomla such as your contact page...) then since this CSS file is missing, the expansion module fails to work.

There is an easy patch for it.
Open this PHP file:
www.thebatcave.me/kozihaus/templates/yoo_tasty/html/mod_virtuemart_search/default.php

and RIGHT AFTER THIS LINE:
$doc->addScriptDeclaration($jsFlexible);

ADD THIS LINE:

And should be good to go. If doesn't work, please let me know.

And totally makes sense... It was loading on the other non vm pages because I had loaded the Cart module on those pages.

The cart module already loads the CSS file where it is published by default. But it is not the case with search box, if you published the "search box" and "cart module" in all pages, you would not have any problem though. Actually this is why we did that patch to "cart module" but leave it how it is now with "search module", it would be unnecessary because we know that, "cart module" and "search module" are usually used together.

But that's okay, since your case is solved, topic is closed.
