Hello I have a problem on facebook in productspage (see image)
In fact when I click
the first button on the left:
A blank page opens
I like the button
facebook it works but thumbnail does not match the product (image of one of my modules)

We didn't built those buttons, we have used AddThis.com service to get the tiny buttons on the left, and we used the developers.facebook.com to generate the "LIKE" button.

So they should all work properly, the bugs or errors are unexpected.

Are you working in a live server?
Because if you are in your localhost, the image can't be grabbed by facebook. You must be in the live server.

And also make sure your joomla is open to public, there shouldn't be any password protected environment, and the URL of image should be browsed by public.

"Share a link" works well with good thumbnail when i click" I like" my image is a bad thumbail (a image from one module)

I don't know why facebook LIKE button takes the wrong thumbnail. As i said, it is the official LIKE button that was generated through developers.facebook.com

Is your website open to public?

Okay, got the problem and solve it. Please check your email box. I am sending you the patch now.

The source of this problem has been discovered and improved. So if anyone has encounter the same issue, should contact us through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or update the VM Template.

From now on, (no matter what conditions) the FACEBOOK LIKE button will grab the correct thumbnail,product title, product description and the URL of the product.
