When I use "search" the results appear without the categories and that is great, but when I click on a "manufactuerer's products" then the products appear after the all the categories.

I used some instruction foun in the net but the result was to disappear the subcategories! The rest solutions that I found did not help me.

Is there any solution?

This is a problem of Virtuemart actually. The best place to find a solution is forum.virtuemart.net.
I will honest with you, i don't know have the solution, otherwise i would provide it to you.

Here is the way i found.

1- Modify page as on this post www.flexiblewebdesign.com/forum-virtuemart-2-template-puremart-support/130-how-to-hide-categories-on-manufacturer-pages

2- I bought and install following module.
extensions.virtuemart.net/all-tutorials/18-manufacturers/15-all-about-manufacturer

3- In module settings ; i have switch to Show category image? to "NO"

4- By following module i have limit all-about-manufacturer module to show only under manufacturer pages.
www.nonumber.nl/extensions/advancedmodulemanager.

It was a headache :(

There is a thing that I cannot understand.
How did you manage to show subcategories? If I do the changes from the post then the subcategories disappear.

Because he didn't apply the Coding changes. Don't apply that coding changes as it also hides the "subcategories"
That solution was provided by someone in the forum.virtuemart.net but it doesn't work if you have any subcategories.

So; since you have subcategories, don't apply this code patch, retrieve your changes back to original. But instead use the solution that "copierx" has found.

Basically you are going to use a module to show "manufactures". And you will be using this extension: www.nonumber.nl/extensions/advancedmodulemanager to limit the modules to be appeared on the designated manufacturer pages only. (normally you can set menuitem only to show the module, but this extension, lets you set any page to show or hide the module)

thehosrtdogs, if i were you, i wouldn't waste my time with it, sounds like it will take lots of time since advancedmodulemanager is little complicated to use and takes time.

Since this is also a problem of Virtuemart, and people are trying to find a solution in forum.virtuemart.net. Probably in the following Virtuemart releases, Virtuemart developers will patch it. If i were you, i would keep things as they are now and wait for the CORE patch from Virtuemart developers as it will be the most appropriate solution for sure.
