I would like to be able to add text to the product detail page. Can you tell me how I can go about adding text to that area. Please see attached image.

Without urls or information about what sub-template your using not easy to help you!

Are you sure it's even the Flexiblemart template -
doesn't look like our test site - www.flexiblewebdesign.com/virtuemart-2-template/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=11&Itemid=478

But you will need to add your text just before the price div..

on the default template templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php look for price div and add just before..

You still haven't told me exactly what templates your using - I don't have a crystal ball...

what ever one your using the solution will be the same - you need to add the text before the price div...

Using Flexible mart 2, it's the forum I'm in, right? I found the file that needs to be modified, it's flexv2.php.

then add on line 183 just before

<div class="product-price" id="productPrice<?php echo $this->product->virtuemart_product_id ?>">
