people are suffering from the same issue. So looks like it is a problem in Virtuemart itself, and looks like it has to do with PHP5.3
please make sure both your Virtuemart and Virtuemart AIO components are in the most recent versions (2.0.14)

First open VM Backend > Configuration > Templates (TAB)
And enable the "Using the VirtueMart CSS" checkbox, so let the CSS file of Virtuemart to be loaded in the website.
