You have a very interesting situation. It should have been the other way around.
Are you using some sort of 3rd party extension in Shopping Cart page? (including 3rd party shipping method plugin)
The incompatibility between that 3rd party extension and our Template may cause that issue. But looks like easy to resolve though.
