I have a problem with the template that I didn't have before, when I have a chilled object for different sizes, and the first size is out of stoke it show the all object as out of stoke and only if I change the size selection to different size the products show that it's in stoke. At the default VM template the product is show as in stoke and only after selecting the size that is out of stoke you get the message that the specific size is out of stoke.
Another solution that I looking for but couldn't find information on how to do it is to have the "chose size first" as the first option, if you have information on how to do it I will appreciate it.

Hi,

Adding extra field to "VM - Stackable Custom Field Plugin" is not possible, the official plugin doesn't have this ability.

Therefore, the 1st child option gets selected automatically. If the child product (that is associated with the 1st option) is out of stock, the "add to cart" button will be replaced by "notify" button. This is normal. But it might confuse shoppers at first to see the "notify" button there. They might not see the product attributes, or they won't attempt to change it once they see the "notify" button.

The plugin doesn't support adding extra "empty" value as a first option, but i would suggest you to create an another Child Product, and name it "-- Select Your Size --" pretend like, this is an ordinary child product (and make it's stock number higher than ZERO, so there won't be any notify button).

This is the only way for now to create "empty option" with a title of "Chose your Size", unless the developer of the plugin decide to add this feature.

(also; making the "add to cart" button un-clickable until the selection is made is a also a desired feature that we are hoping to see in that plugin soon)

Ok, so I look at your demo and did same digging and it working like I wanted to, how ever there is a problem, after the Ajax is loading (when I select variant) the menu and other thing in the site is breaking - please see here - buycycle.co.il/bicycle-components/bicycle-tires-and-tubes/road-tires/kenda-k1081-buycycle

Open this CSS file:
buycycle.co.il/templates/gilad7rtl/css/print.css

and remove all the CSS rules in it. The problem will be gone.

Alternative solution:

open this PHP file:
buycycle.co.il/templates/gilad7rtl/component.php

and delete the line that loads the print.css file.

I prefer not to change my template files I afraid that it might alter same functionality in other places on site .....
If there is no other way please specify in more details what do I need to delete on the print.css file.

the print.css is complexly useless CSS file, you can disable loading that CSS file from this PHP file:
buycycle.co.il/templates/gilad7rtl/component.php

There is no other way. There are many CSS rules in that file which destroys the layout.

Are you using "Print" feature within the articles? Don't make me convince any further.. just trust me and do it. There won't be any issue nowhere by eliminating that CSS. Beside you should do this elimination for other files as well. Joomla templates come with many JS and CSS files by default in case of different usages (some people use joomla for blogging, some uses for ecommerce, or some use it for completely different purposes) Joomla templates are developed to support all those different usages. You should do this elimination if you are not using some particle CSS and JS files (or inline CSS or JS lines). -OR- don't complain about the page speed.
