The zoom effect was working fine in my website but after I have updated the virtuemart to its latest version 2.0.20b , the zoom effect is not working. Could you please help me with this.

you have a load of javascript errors that should be fixed..

try unpublishing modules and plugins to try and narrow down where the problem is...

but having said that I don't see any of our code on your product pages!

When I first uploaded the Zoom effect I had the same problem it just did not work, but after sending an email to the support they edited the default.php in templates/your template/html/com_virtuemart/productdetail and it worked, so after my latest virtuemart update, it did not work . I uninstalled the module, re-installed and added the edited version of default.php again and its working well. , I am not sure why after an update the file changed,

the files change after an update because VM replace EVERY file during the updates - yes - scary...

If you think Ilja this could be the reason I can ask the boss what changes he made in Dev's file (or do you know Dev?)

your loading at least 2 jquery libraries - can you refer to this to see if the problem is solved..

Dev A Dev is right, the product details PHP file MUST have this line:

To load the product picture. This is the scheme that original Virtuemart uses to load the product pictures in the product details page. This Command actually calls the default_images.php file, therefore our Zoom Effect was designed to work with original scheme, 3rd party VM templates usually don't use it but uses something else. By editing the default.php, we only change the way how the product pictures get loaded in the product detail page (implementing above lines). This explained clearly in the TUTORIAL.PDF file that comes with the Zoom Effect extension, please read it first!!! before doing anything.

no, I don' t know Dev. At least I uninstalled the module, deleted the module's directory and tried to re- install it.
But it ist still not visible in admin/modules. In my template there was no original default_images.php in the overrides folder. So I copied the one which came with flexible module.
When I now delete the file it gets reinstalled automatically. What is this all about?

Sorry - don't understand what your doing - but anyway - is the module installed and published?

Our module is just a module - it can#t act any differently from a normal Joomla module..

as I understand it the default_images.php file is the one from
components/com_virtuemart/views/productdetails/tmpl/default_images.php

copy this to
templates/your_template/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails

although if no over-ride is present Joomla should find it in components/com_virtuemart/views/productdetails/tmpl/ anyway..

ok, it is installed, published for every page.
i copied the one that came with the module into the override directory in my template. the directory firts had to be set, becaus there was none. seems the template works without overrides.
do you mean the original from vm?
the result is an error like on the screenshot attached.

The zoom is not working in my new template I have recently added, I have tried to add the code, uninstall and re installed again, but it did not work. John could I send you the php file to you so you can do the necessary change .
