I made all the hacks to make the component properly, but there is a strange problem in displaying images after the first.

no no no, unfortunately this defect is not visible on all products with multiple images but only on products loaded with more images. The fault disappears if you perform a refresh several times on the detail page of the product. For this reason, some items are displayed correctly and some do not. Those that do not appear correctly are the new products that I have not yet had the opportunity to do a page refresh.

In Virtuemart 1.1.9 an old technology is used for dynamic image resizing. The thumbnail with a new value is generated and saved in in the cache only if they are browsed in the front-end. This is how Virtuemart works unfortunately.

When you add a new product to your store and upload some additional pictures to it, first browse that product in the front-end (just once is enough) and have your Virtuemart to generate the dynamic thumbnails, then you should be good to go. Our Zoom effect doesn't generate any thumbnail, but it uses the "dynamic image resizing" function of Virtuemart.
