I have published the Manufacturers module (very elegant) and it works well from the top level of the shop, if one only browses one manufacturer after another e.g. www.xyz.com/shop/manufacturer/manf_A to www.xyz.com/shop/manufacturer/manf_B by clicking the module links.

If I select a category first (e.g. category_name below), or click on one of the products of manf_A and then select the module button for manf_B, the following happens to the url:
www.xyz.com/shop/category_name/manufacturer/manf_B
and yields a blank page.

The same occurs in a subcategory where it will insert
www.xyz.com/shop/category_name/subcategory_name/manufacturer/manf_B
with the blank page error.

I don't see this in your demo, but I also don't see your urls threading into different categories and subcategories in the browser when one selects them, the url remains static at demo.flexiblewebdesign.com/cleanmart/ when browsing the categories or products.

I'm not sure whether I need to set up a menu / invisible menu for these links and whether that would help at all? My shop is at
allisone.co.za/onlineshop and I am running the latest version of VM and the flexible template.

Actually some people like the the way it is; because it lets visitors to filter products by a manufacturer within the current category

But you can disable this very easily. The patch has been provided already in this forum. Please check this topic:

and apply the changes that was related to this PHP file: templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/mod_virtuemart_manufacturer/default.php

FYI: Since the main template is different in that topic, the "line" numbers might be different. But the idea is the same.

Thanks, that worked fine. I could only find one line of that code however, line #13, just in case anyone else is looking to fix it.
