panos bougioukos	Hello if you visit my site www.moncheri.gr you will find that in the "Σανδάλια" category you will see that from the category page you can add the product to the cart but this product is the parent product which in the product details page has children products and you must choose a shoe size.
	The administrator has disabled public write access.

There must be something wrong with the custom-field you created, please see the screenshot below:

Also, i noticed a cut off problem with the dropdown select-box on this page: www.moncheri.gr/index.php/sandalia/295/2016-07-20-07-07-371150251297-detail

to fix that cut off problem, open this CSS file:
/templates/yoo_chester/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexible.css

scroll to the bottom and insert this CSS rule:

.product-field.product-field-type-C .product-field-display { overflow: visible;}

panos bougioukos	thank you very much for these tips. I have changed the flexible.css file and the fields cart attribute. etc are set as you specified. But the problem in the category page remains when i have activated the option add to cart in the category page. The shopper when click the "bag" add to cart the product that is added is the parent one. thank you in advance

panos bougioukos	hello can you please tell me a solution for the "add to cart" in the category page. The client is buying the parent product and not the child ones. Can you please help me with this. Maybe you can transform you code in the category page adding an if statement for child products thus disappearing the "add to cart" in the category page. thank you in advance.

Hi,

It shouldn't be like that. If you have a custom-field for any given product, the "add to cart" button should redirect shoppers to product details page (oppose to actually add it to cart).

There must be something wrong with the backend settings, I can't be sure what it is. I need to investigate your case deeply to figure out what goes wrong. hello i'm still expecting a solution. I have found searching the forum this (www.flexiblewebdesign.com/forum-joomla-virtuemart-template-asymmetric-support/2565-replace-add-to-cart-button-in-quickview)
which i can't implement because i can't find the "addtocart" on my default.php. Though this if statement is good if you can make it for me to disappear the addtocart button when child products exist.

I'm waiting your solution. Please hurry up...
