this is not a bug report, merely a question. Can related products on product detail pages be defined to have list view as in category pages rather than grid?

Ohh i see what you meant now, yeah you might be right.

We could provide an alternative layout to list products in an horizontal layout for "related products" section . But as you might guess, there is no easy to achieve it. We have to dig into codes and develop that feature from scratch; and create a parameter in the backend to pick "horizontal" or "grid" layout.
