Miguel Villacis	Hi, After leving the field blank, the Special Offer Box in the product detail page still remains, even after deleting all the text in the field and clicking the Safe button, the text in the field will show up again. Can you help please. Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry about this problem. It is completely our fault. I am going to make this patch permanent in the upcoming release, but just for now.. you can follow these steps below to fix this problem on your current MaterialMart website.

Open this XML file:
/plugins/system/flexibleTemplate/flexibleTemplate.xml

find this line:

<field name="productdetails_special" type="textarea" cols="40" rows="10" filter="raw" default='Free Shipping on orders of $200. &lt;a href=&quot;#anyLinkCanBeThere&quot;&gt;More information.&lt;/a&gt;' label="Special Offer Box" description="Type Something here and it will be places in the product details page inside the GREN box. If you leave this field blank, the special Offer box in the product details page will be gone. This Field can have HTML code. So you can give links to texts." />

and replace it with this:

<field name="productdetails_special" type="textarea" cols="40" rows="10" filter="raw" default="" label="Special Offer Box" description="Type Something here and it will be places in the product details page inside the GREN box. If you leave this field blank, the special Offer box in the product details page will be gone. This Field can have HTML code. So you can give links to texts." />

2- Now, open the "Flexible VM3 Template" plugin via Joomla Backend
3- Find the "Special Offer Box" field and delete everything in that field.
4- Click SAVE button

- That's it. This time, the "default" value won't be retrieved back, so the "Special Offer Box" on the product details page will be gone.
