Yes, that problem has been fixed.
Open this PHP file in your server:

ROOT/modules/mod_flexible_vm_carousel/mod_flexible_vm_carousel.php

Look to the very bottom, find this line below and delete it completely.

You will be good to go.

Just a note for future visitors, if the option use cache is turned on into the module options, the fix don't work.

In fact, i didn't notice that. I should better eliminate that option from the module parameter completely then, since "cache" is a bad word to our Carousel extension ;)
