I wish I had read your web page more closely, I just saw you had an extension that I wanted and thought I could use. I only wanted to try it so I just bought the solo site license, that has made this extension a dead duck. It don't work on the site I bought it and registered it for nor will it ever I expect due to jquery conflicts on the existing site.

It's fantastic that you feel you can develop modules for perfect world platforms.

I'm not sure you can fix this problem, but by all means try if you wish. Your offer to upgrade is courteous but at this point there would be no point. All our current Joomla 2.5 templates with VM2 are from the same source.

I think they over engineered the jquery libraries.

The site I'm trying to place the carousel on is a live site, as soon as I put the carousel on it plays havoc with everything else on the page, but still doesn't display correctly. I just get two products vertically no matter what is selected in the backend, size, style or the jquery switch on or off.

Have a look at the plain site first, if you then want to proceed I would have to agree a time to switch on for you to have a quick peek. The reason it's been added to an almost finished site is that the guys I made it for want to push just their sale items, if it would work, your module would be the answer. At this point they're shelling out very big bucks to Google adwords so I can't mess with it too much.

Loads the jQuery1.6.4. which comes with official Virtuemart. No problem with that.
But it also loads the jQuery1.7.1 which (i believe) comes with this module: mod_avatar_vm_slide_products module

This 2 different jQuery loadings might damage our Carousel Module and have it not function well.

Since jQuery1.6.4 comes officially with Virtuemart, we have made our Carousel module to work with that jQuery. Which makes sense, right? So; to run our Carousel module, you won't need to load any additional jQuery library. Because Virtuemart is already loading one.

But the jQuery1.7.1 might be reason why our module doesn't work in your website. I am still saying "might" 'cause I am not quite sure about it.

But; there is always patch for these kind of jQuery conflict problems, some of them are tough to solve, but some of them are easy. Just provide me your joomla admin account to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and let me activate our Carousel module in your website (www.afterdarktoys.co.uk), so i will be sure why it doesn't work, or what has to be done to solve the JAVA conflict issue.

If i will be able to solve your case, you will be good to go. If not, you will get your full refund.

your module is set for display on the bottom. If it'd the other module that is causing the problem I might dump it and buy the one of yours that is similar. So if you think that's the problem don't sweat it, I like your stuff better.

Thank you for all your time. You guys really do go that "Extra Mile" what a shame it didn't work in the end. I've tried to change the thread title, Ripped Off as a title isn't fair after all the work you've done over a $30 module.

My clients want modules like the ones you produce, I'll have to look at getting some templates that don't clash with them.
