Hello,
It appears as though the carousel extension is trying to make a connection to a server before loading. Due to our firewall restrictions not allowing outgoing connections the carousel takes an extremely long time (> 3 mins) before it loads. Can you let me know how to disable this connection or give me the URL it is trying to connect so we can add to the firewall rules?

Hi,

The carousel module connects to docs.google.com first for validation, the file gathered from google server is 1kb file and it is a TXT spreadsheet. We are doing this only to avoid pirate usage and to protect our products. You are one of our customers, so this validation won't affect you.

(we are using google servers to avoid this kind of problem, but apparently your firewall also won't allow google as well)

And the module does this connection with PHP curl_exec function, more info: us3.php.net/curl_exec

You may try to put theinto firewall allowed list.
