Both yes and no, i did install it and activated the plugin and chose Jquery and used the default settings. It had 1.8 selected if i remember right and it worked..
I still found it really weird that you need a special plugin in order to solve a jquery conflict coming from just
your plugin while all other plugins works as intended without any errors.
From what i saw in my troubleshooting its almost like it does not like when other libaries loads, because when i tried to load your plugin manually by putting the all <s-cript> tags and etc inside the joomla template it still did not load. Then when i deactivated all the plugins and tried again i still had same error. Afterwards i was thinking like what if plugin is causing all errors because you load the same libaries twice so i removed the <s-cript> tags that was loading ajax and jquery libary then the loading bar suddenly disappeared.
Then i red about the plugin you mention in the tutorial(link above) a bit quick and i saw something that said if same libary loads twice or more times it ignores some files in order to avoid conflicts wich is really good since it saves requests and all that crap, but still your plugin should not crash because you load same libary twice.
I will try tomorrow and reactivate the rest of the plugins and jquery slideshow and see if everything works as intended.
Hope this helps you on the further updates of the plugin :-)
Best Regards
