we have problems with the stock check. It will not show ot of stock even the product is NOT availible.

We tried Firebug to get an information about the error

This is what firebug told us ;)
- TypeError: document.id(...) is null
[Bei diesem Fehler anhalten]

we also contact our template support "shape5" about this...We guess it is a jquary thingy problem...but we have no idea how to fix it.

Not sure if this problem (stock) is related to the jquery errors but won't hurt to try and fix them

Your loading jquery at least twice - can you read thru this post and do what's advised there please..

hmm .. are these child products (blau for example?)

the JS error is in productUpdater.js

I found this post here about the same error

towards the bottom you will see the boss discussing parent/child relationships

i.e the "Display parent as option" must be CHECKED, and "parent orderable" must be UNCHECKED.

I tried a few things and finally I got the stock control to work. At the moment it works like this. The customer is choosing a variation, an by clicking "into the basket" the popup says "out of stock"

I think the problem is our connctor to our stock system software (don't know the english word for it) it syncs the stock and we are allready in contact with the connector programmer to solve this. BUt would be nice to know how to get it done manualy. Can you tell me what or where I can uncheck or check the child and parent?

The problem is I don't know this sort of config stuff either (and hate it) - I'm a webdesigner/php/JS coder

I know it's extremely frustrating and a schande that VM is so poorly documented - but the VM forums are the place to ask - we just support our templates here...
