hi there,very nice product.
i have 4 issues which i am trying to solve but with no results.
1.in the shopfront setting on the right side, even if i have the third element checked, nothing appears on the homepage, no categories. (red arrow in 11.jpg)


2. generally in the same shopfront i have chosen it to show 3 items per line (yellow arrow in 11.jpg) but it only shows 2. (pink arrow in 22.jpg)


3.is there a way to show the list products of a particular category in this nice way with the white background, by default? (33.jpg)


i am asking because if i tell it to show just one product per line it shows it to me like 44.jpg


4. why is the "quick preview" not available to all of the products on mouse over?
5. i find the product's details page in my site very bad and so ugly .is there a way to fix this please?



i know it is quite a lot but i really hope not to bother you again, as the rest seem to work just fine.
by the way my template is for joomla 1.5 version.
P.S i am so sorry for the pics which have the greek language, i just couldn't change it.

regarding to quyestion number 5. i did some modifications in the css code in

/templates/my_template/html/com_virtuemart/assets/css/flexibleVM2Global.css
and it looks a bit nicer.

one other thing i just mentioned is that when i mouseover a product and the popup with the cart and the quick look, work just great . the more inforedirects to "500 - Layout "flexv2_reviews" not found"
But, if you mouseoff and just click on the product again "500 - Layout "flexv2_reviews" not found". i think that it doesn't happen in all cases.take a look at this

in the other category with this browse category page there is absolutely no problem.

You create a very long topic.
Most of your problem is because of this CSS rule:

.floatright { margin-right: 15px;}
.floatleft {margin-left:15px;}

Probably one of your joomla template's CSS file has these 2 CSS rules. Those should have margin:0px;, this will fix your 50% problems.

If you provide me your website URL and let me investigate its source codes, i will be able to tell you provide you the guide to delete those CSS rules.


About the first question:
When you enable the "show category" option, the categories will be shown in the Virtuemart Frontpage. Not in your Joomla Homepage. You can define a new menu item as Virtuemart Frontpage (VM Frontpage) or you can manually open that page with this URL:

ROOT/index.php?opton=com_virtuemart


About your last question, no it is not bug. But you are using that functionality wrongly. The products will be listed 3 or 4 in the GRID view, you can't choose 1 (product per row). This is why we have LIST VIEW (which is 1 per row) and it's background is white but that background color can be changed through CSS easily.

And please upload some pictures to your store, bigger ones. DON'T USE THE DEFAULT VIRTUEMART PICTUREs not even for testing. Those pictures that come with Virtuemart are so small. And don't forget to change the "thumbnail width and height" values to 200px. You will get better and nicer results with 200px thumbnails.

i have fixed minimum purchase order value 15 euros.when someone tries to checkout with an amount smaller than that it shows him the following error message : We are sorry, no shipment method matches the characteristics of your order.
Is there a way to change this message to e.g you must order at least 15 euros etc.....????and if so how will i translate it into Greek?

That TEXT "We are sorry, no shipment method matches the characteristics of your order." is taken from your Virtuemart Language INI file.

If your entire Vrituemart already in Greek, but only this text is not translated, then this text must have been forgotten by the Virtuemart Greek translator [developer].
The Language INI files are located here:

For English:
ROOt/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_virtuemart.ini

For GREEK:
ROOt/language/el-GR/el-GR.com_virtuemart.ini

Open those 2 files. First look at the el-GR file, and look for this line:

And translate it as you wish. You can type anything there, something like: "Minimum purchase is 15 Euro, please add more items to cart" or what ever you want.

one last thing hopefully,
i realised that only on mozzilla firefox and not on i.e 9 or chrome there is a problem
on the product details page down on the tabs "product description","customers","ask about", when i press on one of these tabs, the content of all the others dissapears and appears only on refresh page.any idea?
